This shrub-like plant can withstand occasional frosts, but its stems and leaves can die off a bit. As long as the roots don’t freeze, the dead parts can be cut off and new shoots will emerge in the spring. comes out.

Many traditional tropical hibiscus varieties can live over 50 years, but newer hybrids live up to 10 years.

There are two types of hibiscus: Hardy hibiscus and tropical hibiscus. Both species are perennials, but tropical varieties are sometimes grown as annuals.

This may occur if the plant doesn’t receive enough sunlight. They need full sunlight to partial shade to thrive.

To get big hibiscus flowers you can add 1 tablespoon of bone meal to each container when making potting soil. Or, if it’s already potted, once every 3-6 months he adds this a little deeper into the container after removing the topsoil.
