As the peak of the summer season is coming up, it is the best time to grow these vegetables at your home and enjoy their freshness and natural taste with minimal effort.

1. Brinjal

It thrives in full sun with at least 6 hours of sunlight daily and requires fertile, well-drained soil with PH between 5.5-7.2. The optimum growing temperature ranges between 70 degrees Fahrenheit to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The seeds can be expected to mature between 100 to 120 days.

They grow well in sandy loamy soil and are a monsoon crop so the best time to sow them is from June to July. They also can be easily grown in pots, containers, and terraces; if you have a backyard, they thrive well on the round.

5. Carrots

CarrotsThe benefits of carrots can be attributed to their vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, beta-carotene, and fiber. They are a cool season crop, hence, planted till early July. On average, they are ready to harvest in 75 to 80 days. They thrive well when soil pH is neutral to slightly acidic, between 6 and 7. Good soil for growing well-shaped roots is a light sandy loam.
