HOW TO GROW WATERMELON FROM SEEDS
  1. Take a Seedling Tray and fill it with Cocopeat.
  2. Make ½ inch deep hole and put 1 seed in each hole.
  3. Fill the hole with Cocopeat and spray with water using spray gun or spray bottle.
  4. Keep the soil moist not soggy.
  5. Seeds will germinate within 1 – 2 weeks.
  6. Full sunlight is needed.
  7. The time to fruit is 12 – 16 weeks.
ALTERNATE METHOD
  1. Take a Medium Size Pot and add a Potting Mix.
  2. If planting in the soil add Neem Cake Powder, Vermicompost, and Seaweed.

Harvest watermelons when the underside or belly of the fruit turns from greenish white to buttery yellow or cream. Also, the fruit loses its surface smoothness and tends to become dull as it ripens. 

Watermelon grows best in loamy, slightly sandy, well-drained soil. They can fight even in soils that are too clayy and poorly drained. Watermelons prefer soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5.  

The reason watermelon vines wilt is that cold roots lack a hydraulic conductivity that significantly inhibits the uptake of water from the soil. Wilting is more dramatic in sunny, windy conditions, as low humidity conditions promote water loss from the leaf surface.
